Everybody is different. Some do well on the diet mentioned above and others do not. You have to find what your body responds well to. For me, I can not eat wheat.

Some do better on a diet with little or no meat.
So you need to evaluate what is good for you. There is a book out called the "Blood Diet" It is just a way of finding out what foods are more or less suitable for individuals based on your blood type. Check it out. You will need to know what your blood type is. Some people claim they have become very healthy observing this way of eating.

DO adapt a healthy lifetime eating plan.
DON'T "diet".

DO eat lots of fresh vegetables and fruits, lean meats, and whole grains, plus small amounts of nuts and other fats.
DON'T eat a lot of processed foods.

DO follow the "D.A.S.H." eating plan...
