does anyone know how to obtain a J1 two years home residency waiver under the no objection option? and what is the maximum amount of sponsorship that makes the waiver difficult in the case of the applicant to grand?.I already spend a year in my home country and im still ahaid another year until the oblication ends but i may find a job in the us using my BA degree by the end of the year so in the event i will have to obtain a waiver. Anyone who can help?i appreciate it.

That is the website for waivers. The amount of time that it takes to get a waiver depends on the country. Some countries (ie. Korea) take no time at all to get a waiver (less than a month). Other countries (ie. India) have a much lengthier process because it has to be signed off by every minister in their government! I would apply as soon as possible, but keep in mind that if you receive your waiver, you cannot extend your J-1. Also, if you come back on a J-1 later, you'll be subject to the two year rule again.

am i waiting to ask you what you recommended the immigration officer for the length of your interview on the embassy earlier than you received your J1 visa? once you concentrate on that the J1 visa is a non-immigrant visa and to be able to acquire it you received as an example that you'll go back on your position-usa on the end of the visa. Did you misinform the immigration officer or have you ever switched over your ideas?
