What do you spray in a potato gun to fire it? and do u put the ammo in the back to?

i am goin to build one and i got the instructions how to do so. but it dosent show how to use it. any ideas?

Shove the potato about 3/4-7/8 down the barrel. Spray Ether works wonders in it, Starting fluid works good too but don't overload it, hairsray works also but just doesn't seem to have the oomph of the other two.
Also get one of those lighters for a lantern and assemble in your barrel. The one that has a flint and a striker like a lighter and all you have to do is just twist it for ignition.

The potato goes in the barrel like a muzzleloader. You can use either hair spray or starting fluid to be the propellant. I always used starting fluid because you don't get a sticky residue like you do with hair spray. Good luck and have fun !!!

u spray final net hair spray in the chamber and cap it quick, wd 40 will work also but the hair spray works the best,it has a lower flash point. the potato gets stuffed down the barrel,just don't push into the combustion chamber. cool toy

You can go to an auto supply store and ask them for some ether in a spray can....it's used to help start diesil engines. That's what I use, and it works fine. Just be very careful, and don't do that indoors.

Starting fluid is the most explosive,or carb and choke cleaner,use hairspray as a last resort

if it's the kind i use, spray deoderant into the back, put the potato into the front, press the spark button, and *presto* you've got yourself an airborne potato!

You can use hair spray,
Use a broomstick to shove the spud down the barrel (almost to the end of it) ..

....and do this BEFORE spraying the chamber!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
