I'd go to some cute little cafe for tea, dessert and conversation. Or, I'd go for a movie and then do the cafe thing afterwards.

Your question is a bit vague but assuming that you're looking for things to do on a first date:
1) Go ice skating. It's a fun activity and gives you excuses to hold each other without being obvious
2) Take a walk and see Christmas decorations
3) Go to a museum at night and look at the exhibits.
4) Have a picnic outdoors.
Or you can do the usual dinner and coffee. Have fun!

If i had a first date i would just want to go to the movies because its much fun to be there then to go any where else.

Pub first i think. Dont go for a meal because its to do with eating and stuff, and you have to stay until the meals finished really. Where as a drink you can leave really quickly and it a public place. Cinema is good, but you cant talk, and clubs are good, but then its hard again to talk..
But thats just my opinion, best to stay calm if you can!

Well lets start out what time is the date going to take place, 1st. have a nice lunch, then go play pool go bowling, then out for a dance all nite long.. then take her home and hope to do it all over the next time we can be together...

I would do something out in the public like mini putt, bowling, etc. This way both sides can feel more relaxed.

DONT go out to dinner, that is a freakin RECIPE for awkward silences, etc. haha. try:
movie date
window shopping/mall
amusement park!
beach?
there are SOO many things! think of something that would be fun for the both of you... going to the park? volunteering? walking your dog? whatever floats your boat!
