I doubt it would be good for growing hair. I doubt it would be bad for growing hair either. The only part of your hair that is growing is at the root. All the hairs on your head are made up of dead cells. Dead cells are neither healthy or unhealthy - they are dead.

Its common with people dealing with anxiety to fixate on a particular worry and really think about it all the time. Its like your brain gets on a hamster wheel and just keeps spinning and spinning on the same problem. Take the medicine they prescribed for you, give it time to work and you'll find yourself gradually not thinking about it so much. But to reassure you, if you had a blood test for pregnancy and it came back negative and you haven't fooled around since, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY that you are pregnant. Blood tests are extremely sensitive and they can tell within a very short period of time (less than a week) if you are pregnant, because the hormone that collects in your body will only be there if you're pregnant and will ALWAYS be there if you are pregnant. So if they did the blood test and didn't find the chemical in your blood for pregnancy (HCG) then you definitely, no question, are NOT pregnant. And yes, stress can do amazing, terrible things to your body, so give those medicines a chance to work. It can take up to 6 weeks, but some people start noticing the positive effects even faster than that. I hope you feel better soon :)

I don't think you should use lotion but find a product that has similar ingredients that is made for hair.

theoretically, it would help your hair grow if your hair were alive. since the only living part of your hair is the root, it would be better for you to eat the vitamin, and let it infuse itself into the root.
