I can't figure out why girls have dogs as a fashion accesories. When i was walking my dog, I saw this girl walking down the road in a short skirt and a small dog under her arm. She looked like paris hilton ergh :S
If you have a fashionable dog WHY? and what do guys think of chicks with dogs like that? i think its stupid

I know that if I have the dogs with me I do get a lot more attention but I have two large lab mix dogs chained in the back of my Dakota so when I drive to Walmart I take them for a ride. I get a lot of people asking about them from little kids to grown men. I don't do it to get attention. I do it cause they love to go on truck rides.
As for little dogs, that goes all the way back in time to when the little foot warmers were created. Dogs were literally crafted to be bed warmers back hundreds of years ago. The smaller toy breeds were all lap dogs or muff dogs or somesuch. Xavier Cugat the band leader used to tote a chihuahua with him under his arm when he led his rhumba band. I don't agree with the dog of the week mentality of these semi celebs who change underwear and the dog they carry with them on a two-three times a day basis. As soon as one dog is out of favor cause his fur doesn't match her coat, he's out. Poor pups. It's about like these people who tote a baby around like it's some haute couture purse.

I would never do that to a dog, and i am not sure what guys think of that. No guys i know LOVE it, but my fiance's cousin has a wife that thinks she is all that and put clothes on her dog and tries to make the dog match her and they look stupid together.

as a guy i can tell you it looks stupid when these girls walk around like that and it is a total turn off. the troubling part also is both the girl and the dog have an attitude that needs to be turned down a lot.

i dress my dog up and i have a chihuahua. But i don't think of them as accessories, the clothes that i put on them are also there harness. soo lol i dress them up so they look cute and don't have to wear a collar.
but i do also hate when people buy dogs and use them becasue they think it's cool or cute. that's how most of the dogs end up in the pound. they get too big to carry :(

I don't even have a dog but I do think that girls that dress their little toy breed dogs up in sweaters, coats, booties, hats or ANY other clothing item are absolute MORONS.
They think their little Chihuahua is "CUTE" when it's travelling in a pink diamond handbag with booties and a sweater on... HELLO, you're making a FOOL out of YOURSELF AND YOUR DOG!!!

I do put clothes on my dogs but for a reason. My neighbor said he would cut our dogs' hair. When Lulu went over first, I thought it wouldn't be so bad, but it was. She looked like a Chinese hairless. I cryed because it was so bad. Her hair has grown back a little but we put a coat on her so she won't get cold.

I put clothes on my chihuahua because it's cold where I live. It's not because I consider him an accessory...but he does look really cute!

i have 8 yorkies and i've put clothes on them just for a cute picture or something...but dressing them up and parading them around is silly.....they do get bows in their hair and are all cute...clothes or none.
