PLEASE ... do NOT play with the emotions of another -- this is just not right and NOT considered 'proper' etiquette. It is much better if you are up front and honest with him .. and offer to pay for the detailing that you want done to your auto.

If he is a pal you would pay him his fair wage to fix your car. If you were a pal you wouldn't mind paying him.
Don't lead the poor guy on. You'll get yourself into a mess that you will have a difficult time getting out of. Why aggravate the situation?

Why is it that whenever someone gets hurt or heartbroken,
they whine and complain that they've been mistreated and used unfairly?
Yet, it's OK to blatantly disregard someone else's feelings, individual worth, and well being, in order to manipulate their feelings and affection to get favors or free stuff?

I assume that you think the whole thing is funny since you included "lol" in your question.

What happened to "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"?

If it's that important to you, contact me and I'll send you $50 to get your car detailed. Don't devalue your pal or take advantage of his friendship, even if you "don't like him".

Be happy that someone likes you. Great to be loved. But do not play with his emotions, especially if you do not like him and the objective of flirting with him is to get your car maintained for free!

What you describe is EMOTIONAL FRAUD. What a terribly harsh and selfish thing for you to even consider. You sound like the woman my mother warned me about.

Simply stated, you should not flirt at work, nor should you consider dating anyone at work, nor should you accept special favors from anyone at work.

'nuff said...

I've never heard of someone having a "pal" who they don't like!

Yes, it would be wrong to use him that way.

that's really not nice and makes you sound sort of trampy. you shouldn't mess with peoples feelings like that just so you can get something for free.

Thackalich,
Do you know the definition of a prostitute? If you do what you say your going to do, then you need to think about that definition.
