This guy asked me to a dance. I'm 17, he's 16, we're in the same grade and school. But, I'm not sure if he wants to get romantically involved too, as in bf and gf. We talk some, and e-mail a lot. And, I e-d him that he could back out if he wanted and he said that's not an option. Then, I asked him why me and not some other pretty girl who goes to our school...I'm average looking, and he came up with a paragraph of reasons. Do u think he wants more that just to go to a dance? Should I ask him if he wants more, or just wait and see? Am I exaggerating a simple situation?

I want to be with him.

And not in a physical way. Teenagers doing that=eew!

MW: He's being held back by his perhaps, shyness to act on his feelings for you. He likes you ... a lot !!! I'm a guy, and I can tell you that guys in general, don't communicate with girls like he does unless they like a girl ... a lot !!! You seem to sense this too - don't you and aren't too sure of yourself at this point in the potential relationship. Yes; approach him and go with him on a 1 on 1 date, have some fun [clean], grab a bite to eat and drink, then, when you are alone ask him to kiss you - flat out .. BANG .. just like that !!! Since he is alone with you, he won't feel too held back and will kiss you !!! Now that you have the ball rolling ... you have your boyfriend !!! Good luck for thinking outside the "box" and not getting sex mixed up with love (BIG difference) !!!

Always assume that his intentions are honorable until he proves you wrong! Go to the dance, have a nice time and don't over-think the whole situation.
