What is the Christian response to prophecies Jesus did not fulfill?

I heard that the Messiah was supposed to bring peace to the world, return Jews to the homeland, and make the entire world one religion (I could get verses if this is disputed). But how do Christians oppose this position?

He must gather the Jewish people from exile and return them to Israel. (Isaiah 27:12-13, Isaiah 11:12) He must rebuild the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. (Micah 4:1), he must bring world peace. (Isaiah 2:4, Isaiah 11:6, Micah 4:3), and he must influence the entire world to acknowledge and serve one God. (Isaiah 11:9, Isaiah 40:5, Zephaniah 3:9)
Finally, we do not believe in eternal damnation and hell. The Jewish belief is in a purgatory that purifies the soul of its spiritual blemishes prior to its return to God. (Psalm 49:15, II Samuel 14:13, Isaiah 45:17)

The Biblical Christian response is that one of the reasons many of the Jewish people of Jesus' day didn't recognize Him as the Messiah is because they failed to recognize that the prophecies regarding Jesus had two periods of fulfillment to them. He came once as the suffering servant, the man of sorrows mentioned in Isaiah 53, to lay down his life as a sin offering for all who would believe on Him. When He comes again He will be the conquering King who will execute God's wrath on all of God's enemies and set up his Kingdom here on earth.

Jesus quoted part of one of these prophecies about Himself and stopped at a place where we have put a comma in today's Bibles saying that the portion He had read was then being fulfilled.

Luke 4:17 And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written, (18) "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, (19) to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."

Zechariah 12:2 "Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of staggering to all the surrounding peoples. The siege of Jerusalem will also be against Judah. The earth in the beginning was one Nation and one religion. Because no one studied wars and made slaves of each other. With Nations we get wars over money and power to control the people so destroy the nations and you will make world peace. This world is not God's world. God set laws in motion to take it back really really soon, then all these things you speak of will happen. Weather you believe it or not. Jesus left his prophecies for his sons and daughters to fulfill. But the truth is there really is not a big number of God's children. We have a lot of impostors and they give Christianity a bad name.

The answer lies in the fact that the wicked do not voluntarily recognize God's glory, as the godly do. Further, the "wicked" ; ) do not presently recognize God's majesty, but one day every knee Will bow to Him - both the believers and non-believers ( Isa 45:23, Phil 2:10 )

The Messiah has brought Peace to the World. The whole World has yet to recieve it.
Israel returned to Statehood in 1942 I believe it was.
Your reference to the One World Religion is orchestrated by the Anti-Christ.

It is because of Jesus' obvious failure in fulfilling these fundamental prophecies that Christianity had to invent the "Second Coming" idea.

Jews interpret prophecy, in that it must be fulfilled right away, Christians, have more patience, it could take years, but a prophecy will be fulfilled.
