I feel bad for them too after they got so upset about getting their hair cut and they were told this is what it takes and then it doesn't take. I don't know why Tyra is an expert on hair either, maybe she's just on her power trip order people around; tell them what to do with their hair and make-up.

I feel what you are saying. Tyra should put herself in that predicament before she does it to others. Unlike her, the girls may feel insecure about how they look if changed. Some girls feel prettier with long hair, and then to cut it off like that hurts their self esteem in a way, because what may work for Tyra isn't them. It's like changing someone to something else. If she feels they have a strong look and can pull off long hair, then she should wait til they win the competition and if not, then don't bother at all.

Actually, that's a fact of life in the world of modeling. Long-haired models may be asked to cut their hair at some point. Most will comply if they want to keep working as a model. A few are even shaved bald and are required to maintain their bald look if they want to continue working as a model.
Sometimes you have to sacrifice a lot to achieve your goals....

because she is 'miss risk taker' and she thinks this demonstrates the ability to take big risks. there is no way i would cut mine off so i'd lose for sure (and because i have a huge arss). she is so annoying. i noticed her talk show comes on at like 10:00. ha! what working american sits up until 10 for tyra banks??

Thats what models do name one model that you've seen go into fashion business and come out looking the same...plus some photos look best without a huge mass of flowing hair

I guess she wants to see how attached they are to their hair, and if they act a certain way she'll elimiante them.
I think its a good idea, to test their strengths and weaknesses
