I heard that if you eat a good balanced diet with plenty of vegetables and fruit then your pooh should float. Are you a vegatarian? Floating pooh is supposed to be a healthier sign than those that sink like lead balloons and leave skid marks all the way to the u bend. However if the floater is persistent you need to weigh it down. Try dropping the mars bar you resisted eating in the first place on it and it should sink like a good un. Happy poohing!

If it floats, you are eating and digesting your food correctly. If it is a sinker, it is staying in your gut too long. Eat more fresh vegetables(uncooked) and fruit. What you eat this am you want eliminated by bedtime.
Processed food(anything that has additives, or has been cooked) is bad for you. The reason is the enzymes that are in fresh food is killed when heated past 118 degrees, so your pancreas has to manufacture the enzymes to digest it. That is time consuming, and it slowly wears out your internal organs over time. One reason we seldom live past about our 70's.
There are lots of technical reasons to explain your original question, but basically it is still the reason I stated at the beginning of the post.

It is down to the density of the faecal matter. When something floats, it means that the weight of it is evenly distributed. Most poos sink because their density is higher, and thus distributed more compactly. A 'floater' is less dense and therefore has a bouyant weight distribution over its size.

Some poos actually have higher gas content within the poo itself, causing the poo to float.

That depends on what you ate. Meat (muscle fiber) is slightly heavier than water and will thus tend to sink. Most vegetables and fruits, on the other hand, would float.

I love both fruits and fruit and vegetables better, regardless how they look and taste. You desire a little of both.

In the event it's a fruit they have seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.
