whether or not the gospels of the Bible tell everything we should know. Should people look for yet another "christ"? If so, will anyone in this era believe this person's claims? Do you believe we will ever be able to find out exactly what Jesus' teachings were? Finally, are angels real and have you seen one? Anything else you would like to add or explain about would be greatly appreciated.

SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!!!

I'm a Hindu. I believe that all the religions can be valid paths to God, if walked sincerely and righteously.

I don't think we can know all of what Jesus really said and did. But I think we can know enough to know he was a good teacher. I think there is truth in not only the Gospels, but in other Scriptures of the world.
I have never seen an angel, but they might be real.

I don't think we need another "Christ" today, although some day we might, if everyone gets totally out of hand! I think God is attainable by all of us, and by looking within, and through prayer, we can learn what God wants.

I'm a Christian (currently attending a Presbyterian church but, have also attended Baptist and non-denominational). I believe that we can look to the bible for answers to all of life's questions (all of the bible, not just the gospels). I also pray daily and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit in my life.

Christ has already been born, lived, died for my sins on the cross, was buried, rose again, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven. There is no need to look for another Christ. The bible does say that there will be many false prophets in the end times and that many will believe in him and be led astray from the true Lord and Savior, Jesus.

We will find out exactly what Jesus' teachings were when we are living with Him and can ask all the questions we want. I believe that angles are real and that they wage battles daily for souls.

I am a boreder line buddhist/atheist with many bohemian ideals (if you don't know what that means, look it up in the dictionary, and no, I don't mean that I live in a cold place in northern Europe)

Every religious text has somethign to offer, no matter what you believe in. No religious text can give you everything you should know. A person of any religion can learn a lot about their own religion by reading other religion's rsacred text. Seeing what other religions have to say greatens your understanding of your own religion.

People lookign for another "christ" will just end up dissappointed and rejected. You cannot ask what tomorrow will bring for you, but what you will bring to tomorrow. You cannot just lie around waiting for the next "christ" to come, you must only believe in what you believe and use those beliefs to shape the world, not let the world shape you.

We will most likely never fidn out Jesus' exact message, time and a lust and greed for power has only shaped and manipulated the Bible into something that it is not. Even though I am not Christian in the least, or Muslim for the matter since they believe he was a prophet, I do believe Jesus was a great man with an even greater message, but the Bible is open to intepretation and misunderstnadings and debates have made Jesus' original message incomprhendable.

Yes, angels are real. They are not people in white gowns with silvery wings hanging out with God in a cloud based heaven, but each human soul is an angel, a beautiful being with wings, a symbol of freedom and being able to fly high to unexpected and new heights. We are all angels, and we are all demons, it only depends on what part of ourselves we show the most.

Thank you for the though provoking question, I hope i gave you a though provokign answer, this question deserved it and I know there are many people who are just going to give you little one or two sentence answers insulting your religion. I apologize for those answers and those answerers ignorance. To live in peace, we must accept all.

i believe in the Bible. I am a Mormon. One of the Articles of Faith says "We believe the Bible to be the word of God, as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God." Should people look for another Christ? No, Jesus was God's only Begotton Son, and He is the only one who would and could ever come to earth and suffer and yet never make a single sin. He's really special. We can find out what Jesus's teachings were by praying and asking Father in the name of Jesus and Father will tell us by the power of the Holy Ghost. Angels are in fact real. Like in the Christmas story, Angels appeared to the shepards. No, I haven't seen one personally on this mortal life, but i have faith. Angels appeared to many people in the scriptures; Nephi, Enos, Laman and Lemuel, and Alma, to name a few. These people are from the Book of Mormon. THe Bible is a very useful and true tool , but it's not all that we should know. there's always more. Even with the Book of Mormon, D&C, and Pearl of Great Price, we still don't know everything! there's so much to know, and so little is revealed to us. but in God's Kingdom, we can "know the truth of all things".

I don't follow a single religious path anymore, though I used to be a Christian. The whole Bible didn't tell us everything we need to know, let alone just the gospels. They did say the most important bit, though--love one another. Not being Christian, I don't believe Jesus was any more or less than a teacher, so yes, there will always be more teachers, and yes, we should seek them out.
As for angels, I've never seen one. I've always talked to the man upstairs directly. I doubt they exist--at least, that they exist as they've been described. The Truth is far bigger than our minds could ever grasp, that I do know. But it's not so big that the soul can't feel it.

I am Roman Catholic and I believe that the Catholic Bible is a very reliable source, since it has not been edited since it was written, unlike the Protestant versions. I have never seen an angel, but I have many friends that have. I believe that when Christ returns to, everyone will know it, but everyone may not believe it. We need to be open to the possibility that we maybe wrong. The way humans, seeing as we are fallible, interpret the gospels are very often wrong. This is alot to explain in the space of a yahoo answer. Where as I do believe in my faith and that what I have been taught is true, this is a possibility that everything is a source of our own epiphenomenonalism and epistemology. But for now, I will continue to be faithful and religious.

>>>what is your religion >>>

Roman Catholic

>>>and what are your views on whether or not the gospels of the Bible tell everything we should know.>>>

The Bible is clear that it does not contain all religious truth. The fullness of religious truth is found in the Bible AND in the teaching authority of the Church that Jesus founded in Matthew 16.

>>>Should people look for yet another "christ"? >>>

No, because there's only One.

>>>Do you believe we will ever be able to find out exactly what Jesus' teachings were?>>>

We already know what they are. We find them in the Bible and in the teaching authority of the Catholic Church.

>>>Finally, are angels real and have you seen one?<<<

The Bible mentions angels on many occasion, so yes, they are real. No, I've never seen one.

The Gospels of the Bible do not tell us everything we should know. No we should not look for another "Christ".
We just need to learn more about the Christ we already have. We do need to have modern day prophets to learn more of Christ and receive modern revelations. Yes we will be able to find out exactly what Jesus' teaching were.
Yes angels are real, but not exactly the way they are pictured. I do not believe they have wings.

Eight months ago I decided to try out Jehovah's Witnesses since I was completely dissatisfied with my Catholic up bringing. I have found out That the Bible is truly the word of God and everything that we need to know is in it. There is no need to look for another Christ, because just as was foretold in the prophesy of Isaiah 9:7. If you read the new testament you will see that Jesus taught us everything that we need to do to gain everlasting life. Mathew, Mark and Luke tell the same accounts as seen by 3 different writers. The other books explain everything about Jesus and his teachings. Yes, angels are real, but I have not seen one. The Bible gives many accounts of how angels have helped faithful people under adverse conditions. 1 Corinthians 4;9 mentions how Paul himself and others are under observation by angels. Satan himself was an angel who rebelled against God to become the Devil. The book of Revelation is loaded with scenes where angels take their positions with Jesus to put a final end to wickedness. This is just a grain of sand in an endless sea because the Bible contains such a vast amount of knowledge. I have learned so much about the Bible in just a short period of time and finally I understand the issue that is at hand-God'S right to rule humans since He made us and knows more about us than anyone else. Satan challenged that authorithy and put a hold to God's command to Adam and Eve to fill the earth and to subdue it. He has given Satan, the manslayer, enough time to prove that he cannot rule mankind. Soon God will have him removed along with his demons and all his wiked followers and the earth will be filled with righteous humans again, just as was intended from the beginning. There is so much information in the Bible that it will never be fully understood under our imperfect human condition, but I feel that Jehovah"s Witnesses have a vast and very, very deep understanding of the holy scriptures and in my opinion they are applying Bible priciples to the fullest. I found out that most religions treat God's teachings like a buffet, they do what is right for them and bennneficial to them, but they do not follow Gods's commands, laws, and orders the way these true Christians do. They are truely God's people and they follow every teaching of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Mathew 24:14....KECK
