Herbicides are the chemicals which are used to kill unwanted herbs in crops to get more yield more productivity for the targeted crop. Excessive use of herbicides even normal use of herbicides for such purpose in the fields ultimately come to water. These chemicals remains persistent in the environment for years together without degradation. Either there is ground water pollution or it gets involved in the water cycle and go up with steam and again come down in rain water. In many countries people use surface water treated in a water treatment plant for drinking purpose these plants are not equipped with the ultramodern technology to remove pesticides/ herbicides from the water, ultimately this population gets exposed to these hazardous chemicals.
