I think in this liberal world it's okay to be still attracted towards your ex even after the break-up and even if you are in a new relation. The current spouse must understand that. What do you think?

Ladies and gentleman: by ex I only mean Ex-girlfriend/Ex-boyfriend and NO marital ties.

It is natural to have feelings for an ex for a time after the break up....
But I would not get involved in a new relationship if I still had these feelings. Being still involved emotionally means that you are not available emotionally to your new partner. Plus I would not expect any partner of mine to accept that I had 'feelings' for an ex....it isnt good karma!!! You cant expect a partner to actually settle for this....sham of a relationship, because should your ex return with an offer of renewing the former relationship then these felings will allow you to rekindle something that should not be.....thus I think you should detach emotionally from a former partner before starting something new!!!
