What is needed is a different policy. The Democracy is being set up before the country is secure. What they need to do is seal off the country, go door to door and clear the country, then set up the government. It just makes sense, but I am a NCO so what do I know.

The answer to both your questions is yes. In Iraq, we need more troops to secure borders and to rid the country of the anti-American cleric, Sadr. I'm confident the Pentagon has other uses for extra troops they haven't saw fit to consult with me about.
What's needed in Afghanistan is commitment from our so called NATO allies. You know the ones, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy who have drug their heels about doing their part in securing this country from the hated Taliban.

Afghanistan is a NATO ally that is being invaded by a foreign enemy. The charter of NATO call for it's allies to come to it's aid, yet these four countries, the largest European NATO countries are not doing their part to help destroy this enemy.

It's true, they have troops in Afghanistan, however they refuse to dispatch their troops where they are truly needed, in and around the south and mountainous regions bordering Pakistan, where the Taliban cross the border into Afghanistan, and where they seek refuge in areas of Pakistan.

Do you want us to do the job we came to do?
Here is two options;

1. We take back troops, violence grows and we fail.

2. We send more troops to finish the job we started.

It is CLEAR that we don't have enough troops to finish the job we started.

I think we should start backing out we achieved our objective and got Saddam and his gang but he's still breathing. We are now prosecuting out own solders for doing what we trained them to do. Too many of those flaged draped coffins coming home reminds me of when i was in the nam. Turn up the heat and kick a&& or lets go

You're asking the wrong question. It's like asking "Are you still beating your wife?" You can't answer yes or no if you never beat your wife!

What we NEED to do is IDENTIFY OUR ENEMY ! ! ! ! !

As long as we're fighting a war against a battle tactic, sending more troops or bringing them home is a moot point.

It's like having a war against blitzkrieg without identifying Hitler or the NAZI regime as the enemy.
