The bottom line is that Jesus did not sin, but this is not the same thing as breaking an Old Testament commandment as seen through the eyes of the Pharisees of His day. He was correctly accused of healing on a Sabbath, for example, but He did not sin in doing evil on the Sabbath.

I do ask my students if Jesus committed suicide, however. That's a fun question to provoke discussion. After explaining the theological term "concurrence," Jesus' actions related to His crucifixion (within the context of whether He sinned in His passivity or not) don't really qualify as sinful or "suicidal."
