I got him a $20 watch (decent--from Target) and a 12 oz bag of hershey's kisses??
was this a good gift? I thought about getting him a giftcard, but I thought it would be kinda thoughtless. My bro says the watch is a good idea.
We have been together for 2 months, and I am his 1st gf...he is 14.
Good/bad x-mas gift?

The watch is what I am worried about. It is only $20, so it's not the greatest thing. Also, it's velcro....which bugs me cuz I just realized it. My bro (who is his same age) says he would love it???

You know what would be cute? If you opened the bag of kisses and put them all in a little gift bag with the watch. He'll really be surprised when he's digging in for chocolates and finds the watch.

Sounds like you might be a bit young of you’re around the age of 14. But then, I’m an old fashioned coot, I guess. Anyway, I do think that makes a nice, simple gift. I feel naked without a watch on, and I imagine others feel the same way. The watch is a nice, easy, simple gift to give. And the Hershey’s Kisses are a nice touch. I’m nuts over those Special Edition cherry cordial filled once. Yum.
A $20 watch is just fine. Especially if it’s one of those watches that are water resistant enough to go swimming in; I love those. You’ve only been together for a short time. If, by some fluke, he dose get you something “totally better”, just say thank you and give him a big hug (guys like those, too). I’d be hesitant to accept something more than $20 in value. I mean, it wouldn’t be appropriate for him to get you a diamond necklace even if he could afford it; you’re relationship at this stage doesn’t justify those kinds of gifts yet. I think you did a great job with the gift, taking into consideration how long you’ve been together. Good job.

Its a good idea because it shows that you put thought into it rather than just buying a gift card. Around $20.00 dollars is a good amount to spend especially if you his first gf and your only 14! That is a great x-mas gift!

It sounds like a great christmas gift. The watch is thoughtful and the candies are sweet! This was much better then a gift card and I'm sure your boyfriend will love it.
Merry Christmas!

the watch is a bit much for only having dated for 2 months! How about a gift certificate to a music store? ditch the candy, too commercial.
