I was just thinking:

How would diaper checks be run in a daycare type of enviroment? Tons of kids, how would you know who made a mess, or if any of them made a mess?

I work at a daycare, and there are regular times during the day when all the kids get their diapers changed. Other then that, if we smell something we just check in their diapers, and if they're dirty they get changed.

If it is a large daycare, and they are low staffed then to be honest..they cannot check every child. They do theyre best but usually they have periods throughout the day where they change all the childrens diapers using a check list. There are exceptions with certain children and daycares though.

At my work we are to check all children every 30-45 min. to see if they have used the bathroom. There are strict licensing rules about this. And about the messes at our center we have a specified learning and play time. When it is time to clean we sing Barney's CLEAN UP CLEAN UP song. it gets them motivated and it helps out a lot. And if the mess was made at a different time then I don't think the Staff were watching the children right. Children in child care need constant supervision. Because you will always have one child that does not get along with others.

Day Cares can oly have 6 or 8 kids per person in Michigan. That person is reasponsible for those 6 kids..checking diapers to those who have them is 1 duty. That 1 person is responsible to those kids. That way the kids get checked all the time. Look up day care guidlines in your state,it should tell you.

The ratio is a million:3 or a million:4. there is not any way that's a million:10. which could be insane! I used to artwork in a baby progression middle the position i replaced into responsible of the toddler section. We had a million:4. our childrens were on a replacing agenda. i replaced into basically to blame for my 4. i replaced into their widely used care giver. yet when somewhat one replaced into pungent and his caregiver replaced into busy then i'd gladly step in and modify him. besides the indisputable fact that it replaced into my duty to save mine on their agenda. We also marked their adjustments on and feedings and activities on each and daily record playing cards that went residing house withe mother and father. That way the parent ought to seem and word at the same time as the superb time their toddler were replace, fed and how a lot day they'd. maximum daycares do not have a lot of kids. We had 12 toddlers in our room on the most. some days there have been a lot less yet we were basically allowed 12 optimal.

There isn't any set formula to check on this. Each child has his/her unique system. I'm afraid you will need to do the check one at a time. As for passing stools, its easier to check because of the smell that comes with it.
