There is a myth, if you will, of a relative of ours "killing" Kris Kringle. He took old parts of wood and painted them red and used something for the skids. Then early in the morning he took his stuff and the kids Christmas presents and scattered them in the yard. Killed a chicken and sprinkled the blood about (some versions say in the snow). He then proceeded to fire off his shotgun over and over. Well of course he woke everyone in the house up with that kind of noise. The children came out to see dad hopping up and down shouting with glee " I did it, I did it! I finally shot that old goat!" The kids, not seeing the obvious humor of the situation cried to their mother "Daddy just killed Santa!"

i know you call yourself 'why not ask', but seriously, kill santa?
santa represents so much more than just a funny man in a red suit, he symbolizes the spirit of giving, of kindness, joy, and love. suggesting something like this is just proposterous.

Lol, reminds me of my poppop. every year he told my sister and I he was going to wait for Santa with his shot gun and shoot him. He told us the same thing for Easter bunny.
