So let’s say there was this serial killer, the most inhuman of all people. And then there is this young female, who by all accounts was nothing but kind and loving, but she was did not believe Jesus was her lord and savior, but thought he was a pretty cool guy. This serial killer kills this woman and he gets the death penalty and right before he died he confessed Jesus as his lord and savior and dies. Which one goes to heaven? The one that has killed many people beyond just this girl out of the evil of his heart, or this young woman who on many accounts was innocent? If the murderer does, then isn't Christianity an insurance deal?
This is just an "what if" scenario.

I said insurance deal for one reason, that it is a doctrine where a person can live and do whatever they want, don't have to adhere to the higher pricniples that JESUS himself taught that his followers are to walk in his footsteps and doing so is the narrow way that leads to life. But now it appears things have reversed where u dont have to do anything and basicaly can be as ignorant as you want all you have to do is believe in jesus and its done away - but this contradicts a lot of things in the bible, james, peter, hebrews, many of pauls quotes, and especially Jesus words speaks otherwise, but these things are at best ignored. Not to sound disgusting, but when I take a **** I dont expect others to wipe my ***. When I was a baby without the capacity to do so or the knowledge of it it was fine my mother/father take care of me, but being grow up with knowledge and the power to do it myself, i only have myself to blame or to bring the change about.

As for Pauls doctrines, when he spoke of not being affirmed by works he is talking about the mindset of the jewish sects of his day. He is talking about the ritualistic/literalism of taking the Ordinances of God and projected them outwardly when they were supposed to be applied within. This is why he called it the letter that killeth, because these things they took and made a bunch of traditions and rituals that took them further away from God/Truth and constrained by what Paul calls the "god of this world". Paul spoke of spiritual faith, the faith of living what you know - becoming a consecrated vessel in Jesus footsteps and adpoting the mindset which both are necessary to produce results in the spirit, to live spiritual as to "put on the mind of christ" that is to become anointed in mind. It's al throughout Pauls writings he spoke of the need to raise the lower animalistic nature/consciousness up and move behind the organic level. largely ignored by many.

Excellent point. Religion is just one more place where our society really needs to get its priorities straight. Murder is okay if you go to confession, but suicide isn't? The FCC will fine you hundreds of thousands of dollars if somebody says f*ck on the air, but a coal miner dies and the company gets fined $50?
Computer says no.

No of course it's not an insurance deal.
First, good works just out of a feeling of good morals is empty. What's the point if you're doing it for yourself OR EVEN OTHER PEOPLE? In the end, it doesn't help them. Do it all FOR GOD. Therefore, everything this girl did doesn't really count.
Second, if this killer guy truly and sincerely confessed and proclaimed Jesus's name because he was truly sorry, then AWESOME! That is so exciting for God. Look at the criminal who died with Jesus on the cross beside him. He was a criminal, but he confessed and gave his life to Christ. He was with Jesus in paradise that very day. However, if this serial killer held off confessing till he died just so he could have a good time in life and then still be safe when he died, then of course his confession/proclamation was not sincere and he was using it as an insurance deal. This, then, would not be sincere or true therefore pointless.
God doesn't judge on morals or actions. He judges on the heart. If you woman's heart was not with him, it was against him. Same goes for the serial killer. Pretty easy question actually.
Bottom line: if you USE Christianity as an 'insurance deal' then it's not sincere therefore pointless. If you do good works without doing them for God, that is pointless. I think that's pretty easy to understand. Therefore, in that scenario, if the killers confession/proclamation was sincere and woman's life was not for Christ, by all obvious apperances, the man would go to Heaven.
Remember, no humans are in the place to judge the fate of other humans, therefore don't quote me on this. I'm just saying by the info you gave me, but a human's judgement is never absolute. God's is though.
To all who will answer this question full of hate towards Christianity, please hold your tongue. I know you won't, but at least I tried. God bless.

Purgatory.
Catholic Doctrine of Purgatory. In a nutshell, the whole situation is like this. Say someone hits your car leaving a huge dent. The person gets out, says I am sorry, and you forgive them. Does that fix the car? No. The person may be sorry, but they have to make reparations for the damage they did.
So the guy in your story would go to purgatory to work off the debt he occured on earth. He did bad things and now he has to make up for them. He may actually be sorry and Jesus will forgive him, but he needs to make up for it first. Saying Jesus is your Lord and Savior is great, but its not a "Get out of jail free card".
Make sense?

Is it Christianity?
Which does not correspond to the contents of Torah (the Law of Moses) in any respect. Nor the whole Bible in any respect. If that is Christianity, then, what is the justification behind rapid and frequent publication of the Bible with its 931 pages of the Old Testament and 361 pages of the New Testament and the worldwide circulation thereof?
That is not Christianity at all___ as it has no relationship to the life and teachings of Jesus. Beware Please! Christianity is very much a religion whose law is the Law of Moses including the teachings of all the foregoing Prophets. And, “do this and do not do this” is its fundamental concern. Jesus (PBUH) had openly declared:-
“Do not think that I have come to do away with the Law of Moses and the teachings of the Prophets. I have not come to do away with them but to make their teachings true. Remember that as long as the heavens and earth last, not the least point nor the smallest detail of the Law, will be done away with; not until the end of all things. So, then whosoever disobeys even the least important of the commandments and teaches others to do the same, he will be least in the kingdom of heaven. On the other hand, whosoever obeys the Law and teaches others to do the same, he will be able to enter into the kingdom of heaven only if you are more faithful than the teachers of Law and Pharisees in doing what God requires.”
(Matthew 5:17 to 20)
Hence Christianity is very much a religion and “do this and do not do this”, is its fundamental concern.
And, the situation is deteriorated up to such an extent that the religious leaders of Christianity, like___ Jimmy Swaggart, are openly saying like that:-
“Christianity is not a religion. It is simply a way of salvation. “Do this and do not do this”, is not the problem of Christianity. You just believe in Masseih that he is the Lord and the Saviour and you are saved. But, if someone follows Jesus as a Teacher or Spiritual guide or a Prophet, he is not saved at all. The only way of salvation is the belief in Masseih that he is the Lord & the Saviour.”
Now go through these saying about sins:-
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery’. But now I tell you any one who looks at a woman and wants to possess her is guilty of committing adultery with her in his heart.
So if your right eye causes you to sin, take it out and throw it away! It is much better for you to lose a part of your body than to have your whole body thrown into hell. If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away! It is much better for you to lose one of your limbs than for your whole body to go to hell”.
(Matthew 5:27 to 30)
“Jesus said to his disciples, things that make people fall into sin are bound to happen, but how terrible for the one who makes them happen!”
(Luke 17:1)
Go through this open warning as well:-
“You know the saying: A little bit of yeast makes the whole batch of dough rise. You must remove the old yeast of sin, so that, you will be entirely pure”.
(1 Corinthians 5:6to7)
Moreover, the prayer of Jesus on the cross (the Psalm-22) also clarifies that an entirely pure man is that, who believes in One God and the Absolute Oneness of God (Monotheism) like that of the belief of Jesus himself.
Jesus (PBUH) speaks of the One God, not of the Father-God. Nor, he has ever declared himself as the Son-God or the Saviour. So, the followers of Jesus should follow the Call of Jesus for Monotheism.
“Worship the Lord your God and
Serve only God”.
(Matthew 4:10)
They should not follow the calls of his illoyal followers for Polytheism.
Jesus (PBUH) has already said:-
“Whosoever rejects me and does not accept my message, has one, who will judge him. The words, I have spoken, will be his judge on the Last Day”.
(John 12:48)

confident Jesus did fulfill each and every of the prophecies that utilized to the Messiah. yet whilst the Jewish clergy have been to admit that, then their ability and status could end. they could ought to placed as much as Jesus. That they could in no way do. See how Jesus expressed the hassle with that clergy in his time at Matthew 23:a million-12. "Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples, saying: 2 “The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves interior the seat of Moses. 3 for this reason each and every of the flaws they permit you recognize, do and word, yet do no longer do in accordance to their deeds, for they are saying yet do no longer carry out. 4 They bind up heavy plenty and placed them upon the shoulders of adult adult males, yet they themselves are no longer keen to budge them with their finger. 5 each and every of the works they do they do to be seen by using adult adult males; for they enhance the [scripture-containing] circumstances that they placed on as safeguards, and enhance the fringes [of their clothing]. 6 they like the main widespread place at night food and the front seats interior the synagogues, 7 and the greetings interior the marketplaces and to be called Rabbi by using adult adult males. 8 yet YOU, do no longer YOU be called Rabbi, for one is YOUR instructor, while all you're brothers. 9 apart from, do no longer call all people YOUR father in the international, for one is YOUR Father, the heavenly One. 10 Neither be called ‘leaders,’ to your chief is one, the Christ. 11 however the superb one among you need to be YOUR minister. 12 Whoever exalts himself would be humbled, and whoever humbles himself would be exalted." With such fairly some issues, is it any ask your self why they do no longer something in line with the two the authentic God or the Messiah he promised?

Take note because people dont ever seem to remember this... good works do NOT get us into heaven.. we are created TO do good, it is expected of us, however EVERYONE sins and sin, even 1 sin makes it impossible for us to enter heaven on our own. EVERYONE needs their sins covered. And dont worry about the horrific serial killers, if they are not sincerely sorry for what they did, God knows. You cannot fake repentance
