I think any dog can 'rock' so long as you show it love, teach it discipline and earn its respect and loyalty.
Dogs are awesome..every one of them..from the most precious little pom to the ugliest little chijujua (however you spell that).

Its the handler that either makes a dog a lifelong friend or a neighborhood beast.
But theyre all great

The only advantage to a purebred dog is you know what you're gonna get looks wise when you search the ads and see Cocker Spaniel for sale. You can search online to find out what a Cocker Spaniel is and what qualities it was bred for over the centuries. Mutts however are beautiful inside and out and deserve all the love and attention a purebred gets. I've had two purebred dogs-a dalmatian and a beagle who arrived at my home as strays abused and beaten by whoever'd had them before. I earned their respect by being kind to them, feeding them, giving them medical care, and making them part of my home. The mutts I've had have been chosen by me and have chosen me. I lost my first dog last summer who was a mutt, but he was so unique that he'll never be duplicated even if I were to take what purebreds were in him and tried to mix them again. I do love my dogs and my cats like kids and can't resist them when they smile at me.

However, if I were to choose a purebred dog I always go for the sporting groups or terriers. I think an Irish Setter is the most beautiful dog as is a Gordon Setter, Flat Coated Retriever, Weimeraner, beagles, labs. I love to hear beagles at work in a field and think pointers are works of art.

No matter what though, dogs are better than people.

I think mutts rock I own one they are great because they don't get as sick, live longer, have a wider personality and are more loyal. My mutt was born with a pouch attached to his esophagus which meant he brought up his food and the vet sad he'd only live to about 6 or 7 but now he is at 10 and is going great he has no illnesses he doesn't have arthritis, he doesn't have breathing problems but he has a great life and a good personality but I do like pure breeds as well I love all animals =)

I like mutts too, just because they don,t have a pedigree does not mean they aren,t great dogs....I have had mutts all my life and even a few full blooded kind..Mutts to me are the sweetest, kindest dogs and so many to choose from, they come in all shapes and sizes...they are also less likely to contact diseases...I always felt that there is a special place for mutts, because they are survivers....and every mutt i have ever had is smart.

OMG they sure can be!
Mine is the Australian Shepherd. Need to be careful at choosing a purabred...
Three of our four dogs are purebreds. Depending on the breed depends on there health flaws.
Nothing wrong with a mutt, never know what you will get temperament wise....

I have had many dogs, and I have loved them all, some mutts, some papered. Depending on what you want to do with them, they each have their positives and negatives. I currently have an AKC registered, champion quality Boxer, who is no better than my last mutt, or collection of pound pups.

I think both mixed breeds and pure breeds are great dogs i have 2 pure bred Min Pins that are so awsome and then i have owned 2 Yorkie/Min Pin mix and they were the best dogs ever, one of them looked like the Yorkie and had the temperment of the Min Pin and the other one looked like the Min Pin and still had the temperment of the Min Pin, So i think your right both pure breeds and mutts Rock

I love all dogs. Chihuahuas are my favorite. Curious as to why you say mutts are the best, but you just bought a "teacup" poodle.

Yeah, I LOVE mutts. =P Less prone to all kind of problems and I'm getting tired of people around here calling my dog a "mutt". It's true, my husky mix /is/ a mutt, but they act like a**holes about it. My dog is 10x prettier than any other dog around here. =P He's a husky/chow/pit mix, but he looks just like a black 'n white husky, just a teeny bit smaller... People here even think that my PURE bred black lab is a mutt... Go figure! xD
