probability is a human term. God knows what will happen. You can't surprise him at all. Probability is something that people use to figure out what they hope will happen.

Maybe "the plan" is just much larger than you think it is. Maybe all possibilities really do occur, and the idea of probability only arises from our limited perspective. Or maybe probability is an essential part of the plan. After all, a perfectly predictable life is not really an exciting one, is it? And part of living life to the fullest comes from the knowledge that maybe tomorrow will be your last day. Without the uncertainty of probability, we'd likely all know how long we would live, or at least that tomorrow wouldn't be our last day.

Or maybe, just as authors don't pay close attention to every single word in their books, God created probability to take care of all the crap he doesn't particularly care about. What's it to God how many times a coin comes up heads when you flip it?

You've got some good ones my friend...

If there is a plan, then some might say you COULD mess it all up if you just did things that were designed to 'not follow the mold'.

Of course the corollary to that is, you might have been 'destined' to do just that and life is merely playing out the schedule it has anyway.

Kind of a "Chicken or the egg" question with no real answer...
But fun to think about for sure.

Probability in what way? We can't tell the future, so even though it is God's plan, we shouldn't just stop living! I personally consider it a sin to sit on a couch, high on cocaine. That is sort of what it's like not to live, but still breathe. But I don't know if that was your question...

If you are running an insurance business, and wish to continue doing so, then you had better be on very good terms with probability theory.

'life' has a plan just like 'gravity' has a plan.

There is no plan, it just is.
