wash you hands w/ lemon. make sure to reach the in-betweens of you fingers because that's where most of the smell stays. rinse you hands w/ the regular washing method. repeat the steps if smell is still there.

All of the above are good suggestion lemon oil, aluminum foil, silver spoon. One time when I was away from home I didn't have anything else so I opened a packet of mayonnaise and used it. It has lemon in it. Washed my hands and the smell was gone.

Rub your hands with a stainless steal spoon under warm water. This helps with garlic too. Best to do this right away so the smell doesn't absorb into your pores.

Hold a stainless steel knife between your thumb and index finger then run water over your hands. It works for garlic, so I imagine it will work for onions too.

Stainless steel. You can buy a bar of stainless steel made just for this purpose. Also lemon juice with salt sprinkled in your hand helps also.

I use vinegar to rinse the odor away. Rinse in water after you use it. It has never failed.
