For 2-3 years know I've been plagued with a rather embarrassing and very uncomfortable condition as follows; a short time after a b/m I feel a leaking from the anus.Regardless of how well i clean up afterwards I will have to make several ( 6-12) trips to the bathroom daily to simply keep wiping myself. If I wait a little too long between cleanings it will begin to itch and become very irritated. I've come across posts where others have experienced the same thing but there are never any solutions.Someone out there surely has an idea of what could be causing this. This condition has diminished the quality of my life.To say this is uncomfortable is a gross understatement! Help!

update 2-10-16. No longer have this issue! Been eating "clean" ( lots of salads,no sugar of any kind and no junk/processed foods) for 2 1/2 months now. Literally feel like a new person! Have lots more energy,stamina/endurance,sleep way better, eliminated many aches and pains and virtually eliminated all bowel/digestive issues(even without a gallbladder)! No more depression too! No more prescription meds for me either.Blood sugar levels stay nice and stable (even on days I skip lunch).

Go to the doctor.

(I can't say any more as I feel the urge to vomit).

This is something you must go to the doctor about. There may well be an easy solution. I realise it's embarrassing but swallow your pride and make an appointment. If you find a cure you'll be glad you did.

You may have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) which can cause your symptoms or you may just have a bowel control problem.

If you go to your doctor they will be able to treat the problem. They may suggest lifestyle changes or give you exercises to do at home to strengthen anal muscles.

Perhaps there is a reason you haven't gone to the doctor yet? I have to assume it must be an important reason, because most people would have by now. Perhaps no insurance? How about visiting a women's clinic like Planned Parenthood. They don't just do abortions and hand out condoms, they also give subsidized care for women's issues, and have caring doctors that specialize in these types of problems.

You are not alone ! It comes with age unfortunately. It's the muscles becoming weak over time. Just keep doing what you're doing. I find one thing though that keeps everything from becoming super irritated and that's to keep a box of baby wipes by the toilette. Use them after each bm. It feels better too. There may be some sort of surgery for that, but, uh, I don't think I'd want it. LOL

Oh that is terrible, I can only imagine what you must be going through, I am really sorry to hear that you have to deal with this. You may have a disorder that causes your sphincter muscle to relax when it is supposed to contract. This problem is more common than you might think. However, it is treatable. Go see your doctor and they can most likely prescribe a medicine that will help control that muscle. I wish you the best of luck with this. You should not have to go through life worrying about that. Please post back and let us know if they were able to help you. Merry Christmas!

You probably have a fisure. There's a company that sells a little device which you keep in the freezer and insert into your anus for 3 minutes a couple of times a day. It's a life saver.
If you can afford it, buy two and use one after the other.
Here's the company name

I've never heard of this condition, but I hope you find relief.

If you're not under the care of a good gastroenterologist, then you need to see one right away. And if you're seeing one and he isn't helping you, then find one who will. You should not have to endure that kind of problem.
