i have installed the scanner but i didnt have a driver, so i got the driver of driverguide.com and installed that too. My scanner has come on but i dont know how to start scanning things ,can you help me please

Open the flap and it should come on all by itself. If not, find it in the program menu and run it from there.

If this is a Mustek 1200 UB scanner as I think it is then you should be using a driver that comes form a German web site.
I used to have one and it was not that great but did the job.
Just get the driver from www.mustek.com select then euro site and get the driver.
You then need to use a program that will allow you to use the scanner.
Try adobe photoshop this is one of the best programs out there.

Provided you have Windows P, you need to use the Scanner and Camera Wizard, This (so long as you scanner is switched on!) will detect the installed scanner and then offer you options as to what you want to do. Can't find it? Go to All Programs/Accessories/Scanner & Camera Wizard. If you intend to use the scanner often, just right click on it there and select Send To Desktop as a Shortcut - then it is always handy for you to use.

Hi there, If you use a program in which you want to import images, eg photoshop, it should give you the option of using the scanner program to scan images which will then load into photoshop.
