Generally, ONE lite bulb is bad causing the entire strand to not work. My wife is so good at finding a "bad bulb" she will not let me do it. She simply takes a bulb and replaces it one bulb at a time until the "bad guy" is found. If there are two bad bulbs which is highly unlikely, you have almost no chance of finding the culprits.
