She doesn't eat breakfast, chooses junk food over healthier foods and spends most of her day on the couch. What should I do to try and help her?

If she is not overweight yet, she soon will be. The older we get, the slower the metabolism gets. Remind her its much easier to maintain a healthier lifestyle than becoming a contestant on "The Biggest Loser"

Just remember, you do not stop eating your sweets, just less frequently. We don't want her getting an eating disorder.

First I just want to say that I am 8 years old and I am using my mom yahoo ID…

If your friend does not eat right this is what you should do. Tell her:’ in Elementary school, you learn about healthy foods. Also they tell you just to eat a little junk food each day. And also I want you to be healthier and active''. I care about you.

try to start by giving her fruit chips (banana, sweet potato.) they're fruits cut into thin slices and cooked on caramelized sugar, and you can buy them at the groceries. they're good substitutes for junk foods becuase they still appear "junky" but they are a healthier compared to the real junk foods... just go slow.

Yes, perhaps she has not been taught. Invite her to your house for lunch or dinner. Take some healthy snacks with you when you know you will see her.

You are a good friend and it is nice that you have concerns for your friend's diet.
