Bananas have a pretty thick skin. I don't think any spider could leave an egg in there without leaving a wound in the skin you'd be able to notice.

Lots of fruits and vegetables, especially those coming from other countries, are treated with radiation to kill any exotic pests that might infest US agriculture. (See Fire Ants.) I imagine any fruit that is susceptible to dangerous creature inhabiting them gets a dose of microwaves before getting off the boat.

Of course, you have a much higher likelihood of ingesting fruit fly larvae. I've read that most people eat a half-dozen fruit fly larvae in the tomatoes they consume. Makes you crave a deluxe taco with extra tomatoes and lots of salsa, doesn't it?

there's a possibility. if the banana wasnt handled and processed well after havesting then it will be contaminated (spide's egg is possible in you ase.) but most of the bananas we buy in the groceries/ market have been inspected before being sell so it's pefectly safe for us to consume them (the bananas)
