Well, without knowing the cause of the pain, this is difficult, but...
An amino acid called "DLPA" is very efective at not only alleviating pain, but is a natural antidepressant, as well.
Also, if she is in pain from inflammation, she can take Wobenzyme. On an empty stomach, it reduces inflammation & thereby reduces pain.
If she is in pain form arthritis, then get some Liquid Health - Glucosamine. the website is...

There are many drugs out there. She needs to try all of them and a combination of them.
I have taken the natural way and it has helped me with no seizures, vomiting or headaches...

It depends on what's causing your grandmother's pain. But I have the same trouble with stronger painkillers as she does, about them making me sick.

Have you tried a bath with epson salts, perhaps? Moist heat does often relieve pain. What about Tylenol? Unless that's something that just doesn't work.

And tell the doctor that these painkillers they suggested are having unacceptable side effects, and see what else they suggest.

Good luck!

You really did not go into what her cause of pain was, so in a broad and general sense, it is often good to look at diet. More specifically what she is deficient in. So many Americans are deficient in essential amino acids, dietary enzymes and water. The amino acid deficiency comes from cooking most of our source of protein. The lack of dietary enzymes comes again from cooking most of our vegetables, and the lack of freshness (they loose 50% of their activity only after 12 hours of being picked!). Water, well it goes without saying. If you want to learn more about these and how one can benefit from introducing these back into the diet so that the body can heal itself, then send me an email or go to http://www.achievevibranthealth.com
Best wishes.
