If one studies history, the canon came together rather arbitrarily and, even then, some books were highly disputed (while other circulating manuscripts were left out.) Perhaps the highly-organized denominations (Catholic, Orthodox, LDS) should convene new councils and eliminate those books most obviously linked to hate, fear and strife. It has been done before -- Catholic, Jewish and Protestant Bibles all have different selections in them. Even now, it is not monolithic. It's not hard to imagine a much-more benevolent religion with the elimination of just three or four books.

None of the denominations even use the bible anymore anyway other than to refute themselves. Even Jesus asked if there would be any faith when he returned

I like this question. If Christians would not let their current leaders to "edit" the Bible, why would they trust ones from 1500 years ago?

Ok Big Brother, ya good idea. And while we are at it why don't we rewrite all the history books to show we won every war and that every unpleasant historical reference of ourselves removed. Ya ok good job mind control police. Then we can tatoo numbers on our arms and tell everyone how to think feel and what opinions to hold. Great job Big Brother.

Reconstituted... were they dehydrated?

To answer your question... a reshuffle wouldn't help. People always pick and choose by verse, not book. The justification of hate, violence and killing will be done under the name of god, no matter how you arrange the books.
