Although I don't think I'd ever have a abortion if my girlfriend got pregnant.... I am not truly against abortions. For one I believe this to be a free country and that no one should have a say-so over what someone else wants to do with there body. I don't believe that we have the right to decide that. And two, if we do make them illegal then they are just gonna find other means to stop the child. Plus theres the whole, if there raped or if the kid is going to have major health problems. Bottom line is while I don't go around every ten minutes suggesting abortions I don't want it restricted ether!

I personally do not believe in abortion! When I found out I was pregant for the second time. The doctors also informed me that I was a carrier of Spina Bifida! Also, via ultrasound that it looked like she would be born a dwarf! They wanted to preform an amnio to detemine her defects. I refused! Thank god, she was was born semi healthy and now is a brillant high school senior. I would have done nothing even if she was less than perfect. But, thats me! However, I can give or decide something that technically is NONE OF MY BUSINESS! That is a personal decision to make for what ever reason! (catholics can not save the world!) People have not right to tell a woman what she can or can not do with her own body. That kind of decision is hard enough to make with out someone telling them that it is wrong!
WHAT MAKES THIS YOUR BUSINESS ANYWAY!

I am against abortion in some cases. I have known irrisponsible people to get them again and again. I do believe, however, that with alot of other cases, it is the best thing. the parents aren't ready and the child would only be born into an unstable world and his/her life may turn out so bad they wish they were never born, commit suicide, get into drugs.. The list goes on. There's no point bringing children into this world to get neglected and abused. Sometimes it's just best.

yes, i'm in total agree with you. abortion is so wrong. if you make a child, the least you can do is to deliver that child. you may choose not to keep it and give it up for adoption but how can you take something that's a living cell and kill it. it's against our Religion, and mainly against our God. how would any of these individuals that want to abort feel, if their parents did that to them. you had a chance at life and don't you think that the child that you are carrying deserves the same chance. YOU made the mistake - not the child that you are carrying.

I'm totally against it too. (I am Catholic as well). When I was younger, in my previous job, I had to travel a lot and I was always around girls who have had abortions or were thinking about getting one. I tried to talk a lot of them out of it. I felt like everyday I talked about it. When I became pregnant, I had to leave my job. Some of those girls tried to get me to have one, so I could continue working. (It was a great job, with lots of money.) Since then, I've ran into some of these girls. They are miserable, and those who have kids now are totally against it as well. I have five children and lot of grandchildren. My kids are against it as well, and my daughter is a pregnancy counselor.

This is a very personal matter that takes a whole new light every time it is discussed. You say you are against it but that is the church talking for you.If your daughter got raped at age 12 or 13 would YOU still be TOTALLY against it.This is something that's done for different circumstances and if you are so religious you should not judge people.

Wait until one of your daughters gets knocked up or pregnant from a rape and we will see how much you are against it. You didn't give any reason for being against it other than religion. It's easy when you can let the church make up your mind. When it hits a bit closer to home let's see how you feel. Lets hope none of your daughters are gay because then you will have to disown them.

so I am pro choice and not catholic, I fail to see the point in destroying 2 lives especially if the girl is 11 and pregnant with her fathers baby or if a women is gang raped by 6 stinking drunk men and left for dead, ahhh but we all know your answer it is not the baby's fult well it is not the girls fault either and now your girls have nothing to do, well get them in to sports as far as I know they just support schools.

I am 100% for legal abortions. Without them you would have so many more cases of girls having someone kick/punch them in the stomach, coathangering(jamming a coathanger up their...and yes it happens A LOT)themselves or doing drugs/ drinking or not eating in the hopes of killing their baby.
