Okay, I'm 17, I started work about 3 months ago. Fell for a 19-year-old guy I worked with, and there was just so many signs pointing to that he liked me. I won't go into alot of detail, but all my friends thought he liked me, he acted like it, by body language, etc.
Yesterday, I finally worked up the courage and told him I liked him, and he just smiled nervously and asked me why I liked him. I told him I thought he was an amazing person, and I like him simply because he is him. After that there was alot of awkward silence and sorta, smiling at each other and looking away. Lots of fidgeting and walking back and forth. Eventually he said, "I don't know what to say."
I feel really hurt, because I'd rather have someone just say they don't like me, rather than give me false hope. I just really don't know what to do or think at the moment, I am completely beside myself. I'm afraid of what I might hear. But any advice/answers would be great. Just be honest about what you think of this.

he likes you too but is too shy.
maybe ask him out to lunch or something and then kiss him. :)

That is hard to take not knowing what he actually thinks. It may be that he does like you but because you are still in high school and younger than him he may be concerned how it would look if he were to date you. If he is mature and truly amazing he realizes that dating a 17 year old is alot different from dating another 19 year old. You do a lot of maturing between those years and things change a lot. Give him space and maybe he will realize that you more mature than others your age and will decide that it is ok to date you after all. Honestly though he may decide to wait until your older and it is a more suitable age to date you. I do realize two years difference is not a big jump but those two years do make a huge difference in who we are. At 17 you have minimal responsibilities and are still in school. At 19 you realize that you now have some major responsibilities and have to become an adult in the truest sense of adulthood.

Awe, it's okay.. Bravo for being so forward. You probably impressed him. I would just let it be, try not to think about it and see what happens. You probably just caught him off guard and he really didnt know what to say. I am sure now he is thinking about you in a different way if he didn't like you before, like maybe I like her too. Just let him come to you now.. the ball is in his court, if he doesn't do anything just take it as a moment you should feel good for expressing how you feel.. So many people cannot do that!!! Maybe he is scared too because you are under 18... just go with th flow and see what happens. Play it cool, don't question how he feels-- he will tell you, smile at him if there is an awkward moment and act like it's no big deal. Try to act as normal as you can.

I totally would have kept that to myself, honestly. If he really liked you, I think he should get the courage to tell you. Some guys can really give the impression that they like you, when they're just being really nice. There are some guys out there that are EXTREMELY nice and its hard to take it as "just being friendly" ... but anyway, now he knows, its up to him to make a decision of what to do. I'd just see what happens.

ok maybe he's jus shy or maybe he likes u and wants to go out with you but refrains from doing so becoz of some lame reason.
I think you should move on and try to get over this like that you have for him. In the meantime to take your mind off him go out with other ppl.
if u told him u liked him and he has yet to give u a reply it jus means that u r wastin your time thinking about him, MOVE ON!!!!!!!!!
P.S Next time make sure the guy says I LIKE YOU FIRST!!!!!!!!

you caught him off guard... he probalby never had anything happen like that and is just speechless.. don't stress... he probably doesn't have the nerve to ask you out or anything give a little time to build curage to ask until then strike up random conversations about anything to lossen him up and give hium the chance to get to know you he may end up really adiring your boldness and like you too then he will be lass scared to ask you out and perhaps persue a relationship with you.

Nothing you can do except hope. Maybe you shouldn't have said anything. If a 19 y.o. likes you he will tell you, and if he doesn't have the nerve he isn't much of a man, in my book.

ok.. so u like him and ur friends think he likes u, but he's kinda confused, go to work and act like nothin happened maybe say hey or hows it goin to him, then he'll know ur paying him attention and maybe if he's single he'll ask u out or something ... dont give up on him though it shows he has an entrist in u...

don't be hurt at least you were honest about your feelings,and you had to find out yourself. now just go to work like you normally do and let him make the move. if he says no, just say happily that okay i tried, but be yourself. good luck.

You did the right thing. If you hadn't said anything then you might always wonder what could have been. If it is ment to happen it will, if not then atleast you tried.
