Wonderful! You can actually just go to church on Sunday, (or even call during the week as they are there once during the week & talk to the bishop) talk to the missionaries and the bishop. They will help you and answer every question you have. I am not sure if they will have you listen to the missionary discussions or not...but you wlil be baptized and confirmed a member of the church when the time is appropriate. Some people are ready very soon and some take a little while...just depends on how you and your bishop feel. Just dont get discoraged.
The church is true. I am so happy that you have found that! We invite all to come unto Christ and partake in the blessings of the gospel, the Priesthood, the temple, everything! It is so wonderful and will bless your life in SO many more ways than you eve thought possible!
Just a hint* do you see all the negative responses here??? That, my friend, is the influence of Satan. HE knows the church is true, but misleads others so they do not. Please do not listen to the slander...why do you think people are SO adamant about you not joining??? I guarantee you, it is influence NOT of the Father.
Good luck.

This probably isn't the best forum to ask a question like this. obviously your going to get some rude and un-needed comments. But, when i comes down to it , you should do what your heart tells you to do, when it comes to choosing a belief. No matter what everyone else says. Most people who don't really understand the Church will say don't join, but if you understand it, and believe, then go for it.
I will say though that, as well as you know, the church does have high standards. But that's because of the power and knowledge members have. The more knowledge (and faith) you have, the more power you have. the power you have the more responsible you have to be. this church isn't about losing yourself within it. It's about thinking for your-self more, nobody can tell you what to believe, and they don't. But it sounds like you know this already. If you're sincere, then you need to ignore what everyone is telling you what to do and just talk with a member. Good luck, at the very least it sounds like you done a lot thinking already and that's a good thing, and it won't end.

Those who have already responded clearly have no clue what the Mormon religion is about. Don't listen to them, simply contact the church in your area and ask to speak to the missionaries. Listen to what they have to say and make up your own mind.

Well, I just read the tract posted by djm749. A bit of truth, with a lot of untruths. Just go over the Church and ask to talk with the someone.

I recommend you visit the Church on a Sunday morning, and ask to speak with the missionaries. They will review the principles of the gospel with you, and if you have the desire to convert they will arrange a baptism for you.

I agree with the rest of these people, DON'T convert to Mormonism. Try Christianity. It is a relationship with God. Other religions are always do, do ,do. You have to do good works to get into heaven. With Christianity, you don't do good works to get into heaven. If you have a Bible, please start reading it. I know you are searching for something and that is okay but start reading the Bible. You will find the way there.

Well, you give up control of your life to them, so that if you later decide to leave, they cause you to lose your job, your house, and all your friends. Sound like a good start??
Don't do it. Their deep rituals are satanic in nature. Those on the fringes don't know about it, but many people who have escaped have come forward to tell what happens at the upper levels. I know that on the surface they have a lot of good qualities, the family focus and community -- but beyone that, you're in for a shock.

First thing you need is a frontal lobotomy. Unless you can kill enough brain cells, you will never be able to swallow the colossal pile of crap necessary to become a Mormon cultist.

First you need to buy some white shirts and a bike. Then you take your brain out and let them rebuild your thought processes. Up is down and black is white
