My Remote Repeats Commands, Any Ideas?

Whenever I hite a button on the remote, for example, the Volume up control, the Volume goes up more than one knotch, one by one, and I can only stop it by using another command. Its a Synergy Unversal Control.
I Hope you guys can find out.

Plase dont suggest buying something new unless you can prove why I cannot be fixed.

New remote or call technical support.

try changing batteries, low battery some times cause malfnction.
