If yes, then why do we ill treat them? Why don't we treat them like fellow human beings?

Uh, animals are NOT humans in disguise, that's a fallacy called 'anthropomorphism.'

Although humans, too, are animals in a sense, and have more in common with them than we usually admit, we differ from all the others in our complex and flexible language, our technology, our ability to reason, and our ability to manipulate our environment -- to mention a few things off the top of my head.

We shouldn't treat them like fellow human beings, that would make no sense. I oppose the idea that cats should be allowed to vote, for example.

We SHOULD treat them as humanely as possible -- and much more humanely than we do, since they (or a lot of them are) sentient creatures who currently suffer horribly.

But they aren't humans; they just aren't.

There are four types of creatures in this anti clock-wise cosmos and clock-wise universe. In the book of the law ordained by GOD, it’s ones behaviour and discretion which makes one an angel, a satan, a human or an animal and all which appear to us as angels, spirits (genie), humans or animals are not real in fact. In the eyes of the facts, righteous acts raise angels, denial makes satans, humbleness becomes humans and needs and desires grow animals in the presence of the Lord our GOD.
One, through acts on the basis of behaviour and discretion can be an angel, a satan, a human or an animal.

According to the God’s word, satan was not satan before denial and became devil after the denial and disobedience. It’s clearly mentioned in the word of God that GOD addressed the angels only included Ablees, to prostrate before GOD on the eve of Adam’s birth but Ablees (satan) denied to perform the act of prostration and excluded not himself as a genie to make reason for his denial.
He may have said “My Lord, you commanded the angels only but I am not an angel, therefore I did not prostrate.”
Absence of this genuine excuse in the Holy word clearly reveals that satan was on the rank of angels. So it’s clear that Ablees became a satan through the act of denial and degraded his rank to become a devil. Genie was his identity as a creature and any genie as a creature even today through obedience and acts can achieve the rank of an angel and same is the ordained law for all those whom God created and that is why the smallest creature even smaller than a particle honours GOD, praises GOD and worships GOD only and every one is seeking ones highest rank through humbleness and lowliness in the presence of One Alone GOD Almighty and till the end creatures will seek Gods mercy and blessing through obedience. And on the day of judgement, every one will be judged alone for the use of heaven and earth, spirit and body and ones discretion according to the commandments revealed to the creatures to achieve success and to gain a life without end and bounty of GOD.

Angels are those who are positive by nature or by strict obedience of the Lord Almighty---- and who make not mistakes in following the commandments of the GOD. Whosoever they are: fly or crawl, swim or walk.

Humans (Mankind, Genie) are those who are humble and positive for all and defend positivity against negativity according to the law of nature (commandments of the GOD our LORD) whosoever they are, fly or crawl, swim or walk.

Devils are those who are selfish and negative for all and in favour of negativity always offend positivist and act against nature by disobeying the law, human-made or GOD commanded. Whatsoever and whosoever they are, fly or crawl, swim or walk.

Animals are those who follow their needs and desires only. Such creatures live for desires, serve for desires and obey for desires. Food makes their tail swing in love and their greed, lust and sex guides them to lick the shoes of their master and they bite when disappointment ruins their efforts and dreams. Their positivity is negativity in fact. Whosoever they are, fly or crawl, swim or walk.Animals, which bear horns, don’t kill others to eat and they are of peaceful and defensive nature. Such animals eat herbs as food. So, in the light of this fact horns can never be a symbol of devil and without any doubt can be considered as a symbol of peace or a peaceful nature. Animals that have strong jaws and do not bear horns kill others for food. Their offensive nature makes them wild. It is a Mega fact that the person who ascribed devil’s appearance with horns was an ignorant of this Mega fact.

So all the creatures are equal in the book of law for the blessing of the AlMighty, All able and Merciful GOD our LORD.

Devil can appear in any of these guises to deceive you as an actor. You can recognize the devil by the devil’s temptation which devil always gives against the commandment of the GOD our LORD.
