I've learned about the kosher diet in detail and it seems strict. In fact it sounds easier to be a vegetarian or vegan than follow the kosher diet. So I was wondering if anyone in the Jewish community here could honestly say that they don't follow all their kosher rules, or have even tried pork?

No, rumpel I didn't, do you actually have a link to a source that talks about that. And really pork is the worst meat for other health reasons and way too much fat.

well in all actuality probably about 10% of Jews in America keep strictly Kosher.

many more keep Kosher at home or what is called "Kosher style" meaning eating non kosher beef but not with milk.

and I would say most Jews refrain from eating things like Pork and shrimp.

I personally went though all of these. When I was a little kid I ate pork then I stopped when I was about 10, I stopped eating meat and milk a few years latter, then stuff like shimp and non kosher meat went by the wayside.

now I have been keeping Kosher for about 2 1/2 years and I can honestly say I do not regret it.

well, the worst thing is pork. a lot of non jews dont eat pork either because (and this has scientific proof) they have tiny worms in their flesh that get transferred to our muscles. they cause illness to different degrees in people. 1 out of 6 americans are infected (at least). didnt know that now did you
