The same as a regular citizen, they are NOT above the law. Many cops have been fried in this manner, when found guilty of crimes.

Everything from murder/manslaughter to criminal negligence, dangerous driving, assault etc... Pretty much any charges anyone else could get. If you grab someone and the arrest is not justified then you can get charged with assault.
If you shoot and kill someone and it is not justified you can get charged with murder/manslaughter.
If you drive like an idiot for no justifiable reason then you can get charged with dangerous driving (causing death/bodily harm etc)

If they have evidence that the cop was involved in the crime, then I suppose he could face just as much as anyone else, along with losing his job.

Same as any other citizen. He just has more opportunity to get in trouble because he carries deadly force.
