Why didn't the doctor give you a prescription? That's what you need.

I had a 13 year history of psoriasis, though I was in good health otherwise. But these severe large, thick and scaly excoriated plaques on my neck, ears, trunk and limbs ruined the way I was leading my life. I would be with red, inflamed itchy skin for most part of the year and these silvery scales would seem to be erupting without any reason. To make matters worse, blisters would appear over already red and itching skin. It was living hell.

I was treated with various options but nothing seemed to be working. Some of the treatments that I underwent in this depressing period of 13 years included tar preparation, tropical steroids and anthralin. I was also given light therapy many times but everything I tried would give me temporary relief.

And soon, after a few days I would be plagued with the situation again. In one of those moments when I was completely lost I stumbled upon this website just by chance. I read it and felt that as if someone had put the story my life on this web page. I was thoroughly convinced that if ANYONE can cure me of condition, it would be you.

And was I right, or what. I started recovering within 3 days of starting this treatment. Something that had become a painful part of me for 13 years was actually getting healed! My ears are healed and my neck is smooth again!. I am a month into the treatment and I have never felt better in my life!

I was diagnosed with psoriasis at age 14 and now I am 36 years old. You can say that I have tried just about every medicine both approved by FDA and trial without much success. Examples include Enbrel, Humira, oral meds, creams, oils, salts, coal tar, etc and the list is much more extensive that I can't even remember all of the names. But recently after someone shared this video https://tr.im/psoriasisTreatmentVux2 everything has changed. My psoriasis completely cleared by putting these changes in place. I only wish I'd taken photos of before and after because it truly has been miraculous. I am getting married in Oct, 2015 and I am wearing a strapless gown that also shows my back and I am confident (not like before) that my skin will be soft and pretty vs red and flakey.

I wish that there were easy answers to your question, but as a person diagnosed with psoriasis, I have to tell you that you are on a long road. I tried over the counter topical creams with no luck at all and finally saw a dermatologist. I am currently using Tazorac cream at night, because it reacts badly witih UV light. It does reduce the plaque build ups though. The daytime perscription is Halog ointment and oil, as I have different affected areas. The worst is around my eyes and inside the ears. I find it curious that your Doctor didn't perscribe SOMETHING if you were diagnosed with psoriasis... Time for a second opinion? You really don't want to have to suffer with symptoms, if you can help your immune system to suppress outbreaks!

Psoriasis, is when your red cells matures to fast, and if your nervous, it is not catchy it runs in the family, well thats what my dad said its from yes , i have it. there are 2 forms of psoriasis, one that goes and comes back, and then there is one that stays and you can keep it under control. the best thing i found out that helps is the sun, i have tried so many medicene that don't work. but you can keep it moist but to get rid of it sorry you won't be able to. I tried. and i had them for years. i even got a prescription from a doctor and sorry to say i wasted. 50.00. and that one lady who said her daughter had it and drank something and it went away. i can tell you one thing it wasn't psoriasis. im 48 and i have had psoriasis since i was 15 years old. and tried everything. and it has nothing to do with alergy.

My daughter age 28 yrs, had psoriasis all her life, she used creams, prescibed and non prescribed and the symptom would go away for awhile. She started drinking the mangosteen juice , only one ounce a day and now her psoriasis is complete gone.

Before you start using the topical hydro cortisone for inflammatory skin conditions, you should change your diet. I had similar skin condition like yours, and I found that I am allergic to so many different foods IE black-pepper (is the worst), then onions, garlic chemicals that you find in the shampoo, creams, soap and many etc. After I have eliminated all of the above and many other things my condition has changed. Of coarse doesn't mean we all have the same problems.

There are prescription meds that can help it. I'm pretty sure nothing completely cures it. I'm surprised that your doctor didn't prescribe anything. You should ask.
