Try using Tea Tree shampoo, it cleans without leaving any shampoo residue. Only put conditioner on the ends of your hair. If you have some baby powder around, try rubbing some of that in to your roots when they starts to get greasy. Don't blow dry on a high heat setting, it damages your hair and makes your head really hot causing your scalp to sweat and ruin your hair style. Use a mouse not a gel. Its much lighter, will protect from blow dry damage, and hold curls very well.

I would find something gentler than gel to use in your hair if you want it to stay curly.
It's also possible that you are constantly putting your hands in your hair, which makes it greasy because of the sweat, dirt etc. on your hands.
And make sure all the shampoo and conditioner is rinsed out each time you shower.

I would say don't use conditioner on the top of your head only on the bottom and only on the top once a week
I also think That you might be using to much gel so that might be making your hair greasy

You probably aren't rinsing the shampoo and/or conditioner out of your hair well enough. Make sure you really rinse everything out first. B/c if you don't it becomes greasy quickly.

maybe change the gel, it's sounds too greasy. or switch your shampoo for oily hair ( i like the ones from health shop that don't contain sodium laureth sulphate), this site has nice ones also
(free P&P in UK)

sounds like your using the wrong shampoo. the one your using is probably to heavy for your hair or leaving a resadue on your scalp. i would switch. if you have oily hair i would use something especially for oily hair
