which phone company would u go with and y?

I use Vonage and it works fine most of the time. The issues people have with Vonage working well (or should I say not well) is that their internet connection stinks. I had the same problem. It took Roadrunner 5 visits, a complete cable reinstallation and a modem swap to get it working right.
Now, for your comparison I'd pick Vonage. Why? Because it's cheaper and because I can make free international calls to Canada and most of Europe. I don't like Metro PCS because their coverage is horrible. I'd rather get a free nights and weekends package on Verizon or Cingular and have it work across the country than an unlimited package with Metro PCS and only have coverage in town. If you never leave the coverage area and never call internationally then I suppose there'd be nothing wrong with you using Metro PCS.

I have Vonage and I have to say that it is the worst phone service I have ever had. It only works half the time and we are forever calling customer service to see why our phone lines are dead and not working. I don't know anything about Metro PCS, but it can't possibly be much worse...
