You need to go for a medical check up, fast! The sooner you deal with the problem, the better... It could be due to several reasons... The common ones being genetics, change in diet, or a lack of nutrients...
So basically if it's genetics, there's not much you can do.
If it's because you've suddenly changed your diet (low calorie), then you hair will continue to fall out until you go back to eatoing normally.
But if it's because of a lack of nutriets, which was my case (lack of iron), then you would need to either consume more of that nutrient by eating a healthy diet, or take pills that will replace it... (However, don't take anything that's not prescribed to you!!)..
Oh yeah, hair loss could also be caused if your stressed out, so if that's the case, take time to relax and do something you enjoy :-)
In conclusion, I suggest you go for a check up, before doing anything esle.
P.S. It could also be because the shampoo your using doesn't agree with you, so use something with less chemicals. Try baby shampoo, since they don't contain much chemicals that are harmful.

try switching to a shampoo without sodium laureth sulphate, good health shops sell them, faith in nature, JASON, Weleda are good brands. Also try this ite (free P&P in UK)
look through the list for one that's suitable for your hair type.

this is a very good remdy for hair loss(alopecia):
take a strong multi-vitamin & mineral tablet everyday plus 2 grams of vitamin C & zinc tabletsThere'll be zinc in the multi-vitamin but take the extra dose as instructed on the container until the hair begins to grow normally.

PS> Victoria Health do some good mutil-vitamins

there could be different reasons for your hair falling out. are you eating right? its important to eat vegetables and fruits so your body will get all the minerals and vitamins it needs. are you stressing out a lot lately? this could be the reasons for it too. try to lean back and take things slow. another reason could be your health. go and talk to your doctor, get checked out. there are certain sicknesses that will make you lose your hair also. taking the right medication will stop the hair falling out immediately. (please excuse weak spelling, but i am not american :)
