Will a UK fixed (land) phone work in the USA (is it compatible)?

Question is regarding phones such as a BT home phone (not referring to cell / mobile phones).

Yes, landline phones are compatible. Only issue would be ones that require wall transformers you would have to use a transformer capable of running off of 120V.
