I'm having a girl in a couple months and im thinking of naming her Alana. What do you think of this name honestly?

It's pretty.
But you said honestly, so here goes. Nothing awful, I promise!
It looks a little 'flat', and it sounds that way to me too. I mean, look at it written down. It looks plain. Say it out loud (maybe you won't hear it like I do since you like it so much, but try). It sounds uninteresting. Kind of blank. Alana. It's pretty, but only on the surface, maybe? The impression I get is a nice sound but nothing interesting about it.
But it IS pretty, and it's definitely prettier than Balanish or JaMirakahh or Hortense. So if you love it, go for it!

I honestly like it. Its very different and uncommon, but not too hard to spell. I think you should choose whatever name you and your family feel comfortable with.

It is a good name. I had that picked out for my daughter but we decided on Destanee instead, but I still love that name.
