She needs to disconnect from him. His issues are his issues and hers are hers. She owes him politeness, not catering-to for the duration of his period of angst.

Emotionally abusive behavior by the "dumpee" is grounds to terminate all further communication.

That is something that every human being has to go through one point in there life, and sometimes happens much more times than needed, from experience I know, nature has to take its course, they will get over it before you know it, just be there for your friend a shoulder to cry on and an available ear 24/7, its the most horrible thing to go through but at the end of it all the person will have grown maturity by 10% and everytime it happens the same will follow.

As a male, I can say I've been there..... It can be very hard to let go, not just 'cause you love her but because of the time, effort and material stuff that you've invested in the relationship. Sometimes the only way is the hard way so I suggest your friend should dish out some tough love and pull the pin properly. It'll hurt him like hell but it's better in the long run..... Trust me.

she needs to let him go talk to anyone and find out what he has done to her and let him know she is done and he needs to go on because this is not going to work he can abuse her in a lot of ways that is only the one thing that every one has known about

breaking up is very difficult. I had to go to another country for a year to get away from my ex...but that was back in 1999. I am now married to my new guy and we are very happy!

She just needs a good friend to support her and show her it's time to move on. In good time they'll both need to grow up and move on with their lives.

Unfortunately she is going to have to tell him straight. Otherwise he is going to think there is still a chance. She has to close and lock that door.

you should tell your friend that it is time to move on and that there are other girls/boys out there your friend can date. it will be hard, but everyone has to realize it.
