We have a one year old Doberman. I'd like to keep her coat in good shape, is Vitamin E or fish oil a good choice???? Is it necessary?

A salmon oil capsule daily will keep your dobie's coat shinier than it's ever been (skin won't be dry, either) - especially good in the dry winter months.

Fish oil or any source of Omega 3's will help a dogs coat, absolutely! You can try putting extra virgin olive oil on her food. Its not necessary - most commercial dog foods are balanced diets and will support all aspects of a dog's health.

Vitamin E is good but fish oil is better! The best I have found is Linoleic Acid which has ALL the omega 3 & 6 fatty acids.

be careful with medicating yur dog with thngs just feed him tons of rice(I put thinned down chicken broth over it) I did that with my big red chow and he was always showroom quality in his coat plus it was easy on his system and he loved it
