Ruby G has a point about asking the cat. I'm not saying do it psychically, but put three objects in front of the cat with each object representing a name you've selected. Let the cat pick a name by "chance".

Cats were really idolized in Egypt and I believe originated from there. Here is a site that has Egyptain Cat Names. Here is a phrase from that site.

I am the Cat which battled heroically on the night when the enemies of the Setting Sun were overwhelmed. And who is this Cat? This Cat is the Sun-God Ra himself...

From The Book of the Dead, 3000 B.C.

There are some pretty cool names listed there with their meanings.

Best wishes to you and your new kitty.

Your cat already has a name. Ask her what it is. She might tell you and she might not. If you are intune to her she will let you know unless she is to young. then you can ask her mother. I just recently discovered that I could ask any animal what their name was and somehow I get it in my mind. Strange I know but it is true. If you can't get your cat to tell you then maybe she will let you pick a name for her. If she picks it up quickly then she has accepted the name. Just some advice though....all the names that have come from my animals have NOT been strange or weird names. They are normal common names. I have one cat that I named PeekiePoo, he accepted this name but he seems to be embarressed by it also. But since he has accepted it I cant change it. So Please dont embarrass your cat. Good Luck!!

I would name it after something you like... perhaps a favorite actress, a character from a favorite film or book... the fact that the name will have a positive connotation with you will create a sort of bond and the story behind it will for sure be unique and personalized.
