Well, they did have a Model B, just have to look a bit harder for it.
SAVAGE ARMS, INC.
FOX MODELS B, B-SE, AND STEVENS 311
- see listing under Fox and Stevens Sections.
FOX, A.H.
Savage-made guns from 1930-1942 are usually valued similarly to the early A.H. Fox guns. The recent production B series are just not in the same class and are obviously not intended to be. They are lower priced by today's standards and are designed as a utility grade hunting gun.
MODEL B DOUBLE BARREL
- 12, 16, 20 ga., or .410 bore, 24-30 in. barrels, various chokes, vent rib on newer models, boxlock, extractors, double triggers, handcut or pressed checkered pistol grip stock and forearm. Mfg. 1940-86.
100%. 98%. 95%. 90% .80% .70% .60%
$395 $350 $295 $265 $235 $200 $180
Add 20% for 20 ga., 35% for .410 bore.
No info on serial numbers given.

MODEL 311 SxS
- 12, 16, 20 ga., or .410 bore, 3 in. chambers, double triggers, extractors, VR. Disc. 1989.
100% .98% 95%. 90% 80%. 70% 60%
$245 $205 $185 $150 $140 $125 $115
Add 30% for .410 bore.
Add 20% for 16 or 20 ga.

No such gun was made by Savage. Maybe model FX B ? or 23B ? dunno what its worth without all info. Your model does not work with Savage even a limited. Most savage shotguns even the first made in perfect condition are valued at $50-$175 US Dollars.
