Hair problems again??

If you use gel, but you don't put it on the roots of your hair, will anything still happen? what could happen?

You could go prematurely bald, but bald is in now.

I've not ever heard you're not supposed to but it on the roots, that's new to me, if you put it on the roots it'll add body to the root area, where did you hear you're not to put it on the roots?
