To clarify the previous answers. If it is a dirty throttle or bad idle control valve then engine will die most every time it attempts to idle such as when coming to a stop.

Fuel pump on the other hand tends to cause random dieing when engine is at speed and usually after everything gets good and hot.

Fuel pump requires gas tank removal and is expensive.

It could be you're fuel pump is going out, or you need a tune up, or it's vapor locking and if it is a fuel injection you need to either clean you're injecters or replace them. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Most likely fuel pump, may be your 02 sensor. Check fuel pressure with pressure gauge off your fuel rail. Are you getting check engine light?

It is an old vehicle so age is the likely cause. Reliability for those cars isn't that great either.
