I have been dating a guy off and on for the past year. He is a great and caring person. Always compliments me, and is a perfect gentleman. The problem is: I would love to be in a relationship with him but when I talk about it with him, he gets quiet and doesnt say anything. I dont know if he is scared of relationships or what. I told him about 2 months ago that I had met someone(I really did) and that I needed to know his intentions. He got really quiet and then said well, if you want to move on then I wont stand in your way. I was furious. He saw one of my female friends and he told her to let me know that he will always love me. He called me about 2 weeks ago and said he just wanted to hear my voice and wanted to tell me that he loves, and misses me. We went out last night and as usual everything went great. I dont understand what the problem is. How can I talk to him without scaring him away? Also, how do I know if he is sincere in saying he loves me? I do have feelings for him :(

if he's uncomfortable talking about it then try not talking about it maybe as the other girlsaid he's not sure what he wants let the relationship stay on for a little longer than it usually does b4 it goes off and see how it goes try to observe, but don't make to obvious, your own realtionship with him maybe see why or what makes him so shy if hes uncomfortable find what makes him comfortable. Tell him you really want to be with him but you always get mixed signals from him. Ask him straight up..."I love you and you say you love me. I'm getting mixed signals from you and I have to know because it's driving me crazy! Do you want to be with me or not??... Because I really really want to be with you!"
or something to that effect. Hopefully, he'll swoop you up in his arms. If he stammers again and won't answer, then you have your answer and I'm truly sorry. Otherwise he might tell you that he's not sure what he wants. But at least you'll have an answer. Blessed be and keep the hope!

he probably does love you, but when he is around you he just gets like scared or afraid, if he sayss it maybe you won't feel the same way, and maybe you need to tell him how you feel!

well if he says he really loves you, and he acts diffrently around you, maybe he is'nt sure what he wants.
